How much does a bag of plaster cover?
A 25kg bag of multi finish plaster covers roughly 10 square metres at a 2mm skim thickness. Backing plasters laid thicker cover far less area per bag.
A 25kg bag of finish plaster typically covers around 10 square metres when skimmed at about 2mm over two coats. That figure drops on uneven or absorbent backgrounds that need more material.
Backing and undercoat plasters are applied much thicker, often 8mm to 11mm, so a bag covers only a few square metres. Always check the product data sheet for the exact coverage.
