tonnes
Otis converts, prices and orders in one step, on your live stock.
Uses typical densities such as 2.0 tonnes per cubic metre for MOT type 1 and 1.75 for gravel. Materials vary, so treat it as a guide.
How the numbers work
To convert a volume into a weight you multiply the cubic metres by the density of the material, which is its weight per cubic metre. Different materials weigh different amounts, so the tonnage changes with the material you choose.
Bulk bags are taken as about 850kg each and handy bags as 25kg, so you can order in whichever way suits.
This is what Otis does, instantly
A calculator works out quantities. Otis takes a customer question, works out the materials, checks live stock and pricing in the merchant’s own system, builds the quote and takes the order, day or night.
